Brough available on loan + Wycombe fans on PT

It seems Wycombe fans are quite happy with Peter Taylor at the moment. Well they should be as they have made their best ever start to a league season and are currently top of League 2. Apparently they are solid at the back, but exciting when going forward. Really?

“The fans wondered which Peter Taylor they would get. Would it be the man who was judged a disappointment at Leicester, Palace and (perhaps unfairly) Stevenage. Or would it be the Taylor who had achieved promotion at Gillingham, Brighton and Hull.”

I don’t know what was unfair about calling Taylor’s time here a disappointment. He came in with a big reputation, well over half of the season remaining, a good squad, even without the players that left to join Baldy in Kent and the team in a secure play-off spot. He brought in sub standard players, played a terrible brand of football and in the end managed to get us to finish in 6th position, 1 place short of the play-offs. Plus he brought in Junior Lewis, the worst ever player to play for this club! Not an unfair judgement in my opinion.

Ex Boro midfielder Michael Brough and winger Roscoe D’Sane have been told by Torquay they will be allowed to move out on loan. Brough only joined the Gulls in the summer after moving there on a free from Forest Green in the summer. D’Sane was a regular member of the Torquay side that got to the Play-Offs and FA Trophy Final last season. Both players are good enough to play for clubs at this level, but I doubt Boro will be looking at them. Brough was never a regular at Boro when he was here previously and was allowed to leave for FGR by Westley. I do think he is a better player now though than the one that left BHW. I’ve always thought D’Sane was a good player, but at the moment we have too many players in the squad so I assume if someone came in then someone would also have to go out.
