Chuks Aneke became the second Arsenal youngster to sign for the club when he followed Luke Freeman in a loan deal in November 2011. The loan deal was originally a two month deal, but was extended until the end of the season in January 2012.

Aneke has come through the ranks at Arsenal after being snapped up as a 7 year old. He signed professional terms in 2010 and recently extended his contract at the Emirates Stadium ahead of the 2011/12 campaign. Aneke is very highly rated at Arsenal and has been likened to both Abou Diaby and Yaya Toure by Gunners boss Arsene Wenger.

He has represented England at four separate levels, choosing to represent his country of birth rather than Nigeria, of which he is also qualified to represent. Aneke has endured a slow start to his career at Boro, but there are high hopes that the 18 year old can improve in the next few months and show the fans what he is capable of as the season draws to a close.
